Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are
Percentage Increase Calculator ("we", "us", "the site") is a free, open-source, client-side calculation tool available at percentageincreasecalculator.app. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you use our site. We take your privacy seriously — and the short version is: we collect almost nothing.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
Because this tool runs entirely in your web browser, we want to be explicit about what we do not do:
- We do not collect, store, or transmit any values you enter into the calculator. All calculations happen locally on your device.
- We do not require or offer user accounts, email addresses, passwords, or any form of registration.
- We do not track your individual behavior across sessions or build a profile about you.
- We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
- We do not use retargeting pixels, social media trackers, or advertising networks.
3. Information That May Be Collected Automatically
When you visit any website, certain technical information is exchanged between your browser and the server as part of how the internet works. This may include:
- IP address — Your IP address may be temporarily logged by our hosting provider for security and operational purposes (e.g., DDoS protection). We do not access or analyze these logs ourselves.
- HTTP request data — Standard information such as the page requested, referring URL, browser type, operating system, and timestamp may be recorded by the server infrastructure.
This data is handled by our hosting infrastructure and is not used by us for tracking, analytics, or user profiling.
4. Cookies and Local Storage
This site does not set any first-party cookies. We do not use local storage, session storage, or IndexedDB to persist any user data. For details about how third-party services may use cookies, please see our Cookie Policy.
5. Third-Party Services
We use a minimal number of third-party services to operate this site:
- Google Fonts — We load the Nunito and Sriracha typefaces from Google's font delivery network. When your browser requests these fonts, Google receives your IP address and standard HTTP headers. Google states that it does not use this data for advertising. For details, see Google Fonts Privacy FAQ and Google's Privacy Policy.
- Hosting Provider — Our site is served through a hosting provider that may process server access logs containing IP addresses and request metadata for security and uptime purposes.
- GitHub — Our source code is hosted on GitHub. If you visit our GitHub repository through links on this site, GitHub's privacy policy applies.
6. Data Retention
Since we do not collect personal data through the site itself, there is no user data for us to retain or delete. Any server logs maintained by our hosting provider are subject to their own retention policies and are typically rotated automatically within a short period.
7. Children's Privacy
This site is a general-purpose mathematical tool suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). Since we do not collect personal data, there is no children's data to manage.
8. International Users
This site may be accessed from anywhere in the world. Since calculations are performed entirely in your browser with no data transmitted to us, there is no cross-border data transfer of your calculator inputs. Server-level data (such as IP addresses in access logs) may be processed in the country where our hosting infrastructure is located.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing. Because we do not collect or store personal data through this site, these rights are largely not applicable. However, if you have concerns, please contact us and we will do our best to assist.
10. External Links
This site contains links to third-party websites (such as GitHub and Google). We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing them with any personal information.
11. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the integrity of this site, including serving all pages over HTTPS. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. Since the tool processes data locally in your browser, your calculation data is never exposed to network transmission risks.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
13. Contact Us
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy, please reach out to us through our GitHub repository by opening an issue.
